Our History

Since its founding in 1947, Elite has transformed law firms with innovative technologies that are at the center of their success. From 2003 to 2023, Elite was part of Thomson Reuters. In June 2023, we became as independent business following a majority acquisition by global alternative asset management firm TPG. Most recently, in August 2025, Elite was acquired by Francisco Partners, a global investment firm specializing in technology and technology-enabled businesses.
