Thomson Reuters Elite 2012 EMEA User Group Meeting Shatters Previous Attendance Records
Elite Users Experience Product Education, Peer Networking and New Innovations at Annual User Group Meeting
LONDON, 2 Oct. 2012 – Over 320 delegates from 130 law firms and other professional services organizations – and 450+ overall attendees – got to experience first-hand a raft of exciting product previews and innovations at this year’s annual EMEA User Group Meeting from Thomson Reuters Elite.
Beating last year’s attendance by nearly 50 percent, this year’s meeting – held last week at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in the heart of London – comprised over 30 tailored education sessions on the full range of Thomson Reuters Elite solutions, with Elite experts, clients and partners providing valuable insight and practical information into product functionality, flexibility and best practices.
In the morning’s keynote session, Thomson Reuters Elite President Cary Burch outlined Elite’s vision for providing an end-to-end enterprise business management solution for EMEA law firms, including strategic investments in signature Elite products such as 3E, Enterprise, Envision, MatterSphere, Engage, eBillingHub, and the Business Development suite. A number of new innovations were previewed by Elite’s leadership team, including the 3E Mobile application, and Eric Sugden, Elite’s chief technology officer, provided a sneak-peak at Elite’s revolutionary new ‘WorkSpace’ which will deliver a fully integrated, multi-dimensional experience for all categories of users across the full spectrum of Elite products.
Other sessions of note included a presentation by Justin Farmer, director of Product Management for Elite, exploring the need for and value of intelligent business management solutions for the legal industry. “Over the past 10 years, firms have expanded their need for technological solutions threefold,” he noted. “Without a system in place that can capture all the important data intelligently and make it instantly accessible, law firms begin to lose out both in terms of efficiency and winning new business.”
“We were delighted to see such a stellar turnout for this year’s EMEA User Group Meeting, including a large number of new clients who have joined the Elite family through businesses such as Envision and MatterSphere,” said Burch. “In addition to providing market-leading solutions and technologies, we are fully committed to providing our customers with the tools, insights and educational experiences they need and want to get the most out of their investment in Elite’s products and to stay ahead of the curve. This year’s EMEA User Group Meeting was our best ever, and next year we’ll have even more to talk about.”
