directly into ProLaw


ProLaw's unique Pro Filing capability has been enhanced to make it easier to save Word, Outlook and PDF files to their related contacts or matters - without leaving the document.

Convert and save documents as PDF files with a single-click

Create or email ProLaw documents in PDF format without purchasing additional PDF software. New built-in features automatically save selected files as PDFs to the relevant matter and link them to the original document. In addition, only ProLaw tracks emailed documents as part of a case file history.

Deeper Microsoft Outlook integration

Users can now file tasks, contacts, email attachments and appointments directly from Outlook and automatically synchronize them with ProLaw.

ProLaw Dashboard: more shortcuts to key ProLaw files

You may hear the phrase "Attorney Desktop" used often by legal software providers—but ProLaw is the hands down leader with its Dashboard. It is the true attorney's gateway to the most critical practice and financial information used on a daily basis. The ProLaw Dashboard provides time-saving shortcuts to the ProLaw areas attorneys use most. In addition to viewing calendar appointments and reminders, users can now add events, documents, notes or time entries to a matter without having to first open the matter. With a single click, attorneys can also view recent contacts and matters.


Easy time entry

ProLaw makes it easy to enter time from the dashboard. With a single click, a pop-up window pre-fills much of the required information and lets you fill in the rest - creating a time entry on the spot and making it easier to keep track of your time during interruptions.

Quickly create and file new dockets and documents
With a simple click on the dashboard, you can instantly create a new document or docket and file it to the appropriate matter or contact later.

Add notes
Sometimes attorneys need to write special notes about matters they are working on, but are in a hurry and don't have time to find and open matters in ProLaw. Now, with a single click, you can create notes and assign them to matters without having to open the entire matter.

Save time and avoid duplicate data entry by entering a check request directly from the Prolaw dashboard. New check requests automatically create an accounts payable record in ProLaw to ensure checks are processed with minimal delay.


Right-click to find recent contacts and matters
When you're busy working on a file and a client calls with a question, you need to stop and quickly find their matter information. ProLaw now keeps track of your most recently viewed contacts and matters so you can right-click to view a running list of recent contacts and matters and jump to the details.

Print the dashboard calendar
ProLaw's Dashboard calendar conveniently displays a variety of scheduling and matter information. Now when you're on the go you can print a hard copy of what is on the screen.

View current and past due events on the dashboard
Most reminders notify users about new deadlines and tasks for the day, but ProLaw also displays past due events right on the dashboard. This helps attorneys keep track of missed deadlines without having to run a special report.


Automated docket tracking from the ProLaw Dashboard
Court docket notifications now automatically appear on the dashboard through new integration with Docket Tracks from Westlaw CourtExpress—keeping you one step ahead in planning your next strategic move.

Court docket subscriptions are conveniently managed
ProLaw provides a centralized location to manage your extensive court subscriptions. Now the administrator can add, update or cancel court subscriptions on one screen. This simplifies the management of multiple subscription requests received across the entire organization, decreasing the chance of duplicates for true cost savings.

Capture and manage more billable time
ProLaw's automated time entry captures time more efficiently with single-click timers on the desktop. These timers display conveniently on your desktop for convenient, direct time entry.

View client financial reports at a glance
View the financial status of any client by simply clicking on the new Contact level Inquiry tab. Now, in addition to seeing financial information from a matter level, you can also get a financial snapshot of all matters related to a specific client.
