Partner Certification

Distinguish Your Brand and Build Client Confidence

The Thomson Reuters Elite Global Strategic Alliance Program helps 3E and ProLaw Services partners excel by offering comprehensive certification programs. By successfully completing the mandatory training and certification exams, certified 3E and ProLaw Services partners demonstrate the highest level of knowledge and expertise, demonstrate their commitment to our mutual clients and show willingness to collaborate at the deepest levels. At this time, certification programs are only available for 3E and ProLaw.

3E Certification

Opt-Out Testing

Individuals that have a strong 3E skill set may be eligible to register for certification testing without attending training courses. Policies and fees for opt-out testing should be reviewed with a Thomson Reuters Elite Global Strategic Alliance Program representative prior to registration.

Recertification

Recertification is required as defined by Elite and will be limited to an annual process or in-line with major enhancement releases. The goal of recertification is to ensure resources maintain product knowledge. Additional charges will be assessed with recertification and may require additional training and/or testing.

ProLaw Certification

Overview

Services Partners whose partnership includes ProLaw must become certified. There are two levels of ProLaw certification: Application Services Certification and Technical Services Certification. Services partners may pursue either level of certification, but Application Services Certification is a pre-requisite for Technical Services Certification. Services partners achieve ProLaw certification at the company level. Partner companies become certified when 50% of the organization or 50% of ProLaw client-facing resources have achieved comprehensive certification.

  • Application Services Certification requires successful completion of 70 hours of training (35 hours of Front Office training and 35 hours of Back Office training). Additionally, trainees must score at least 90% on a certification exam on each portion.
  • Technical Services Certification requires successful completion of the Application Services Certification (above), plus successful completion of a 3-1/2 day training program and a score of at least 90% on the corresponding certification exam.

Requirements for ProLaw Certification:

  • A formal Alliance Agreement and Services Addendum outlining program terms
  • Valid client references
  • Proof of solvency and insurance
  • Skills in an area that complements Thomson Reuters Elite's need
  • Successful completion of partner training and certification in applicable area(s) within timeframe designated in partner agreements. Fees apply.

Opt-Out Testing

Individuals that have a strong ProLaw skill set may be eligible to register for Application Services Certification testing without attending training courses. Policies and fees for opt-out testing should be reviewed with a Thomson Reuters Elite Global Strategic Alliance Program specialist prior to registration. There is no test-out option for Technical Services Certification.

Recertification

Recertification is required with major enhancement releases. The goal of recertification is to ensure resources maintain product knowledge. Additional charges will be assessed with recertification and may require additional training and/or testing.
