The following are tips and tricks to help when using Elite software products.


How do I add a new rate exception to matters or clients in 3E?

Follow the procedure below to add a new rate exception to matters or clients in 3E.

  1. Open an existing rate exception group as shown below.
  2. Click the Add button on the Rate Exception Detail (2) form.
  3. Populate the fields related to this new rate exception. In this example, the new rate is a Partner rate (as shown in the Title field below).
  4. Click the Add button next to either the Matters or Clients child form. In this example, "Matters Using Rate Exception" is selected (shown below).
  5. Query for the Matter you wish to add to this rate exception.
  6. Click Select
  7. Confirm that the new rate exception now exists on the matter.
