From The Desk of Kim MassanaI am pleased to bring this edition of Elite Exchange Magazine to you, our valued clients and partners. There are optimistic signs that the legal industry is rebounding from the economic downturn. During these challenging times, we’ve taken the opportunity to look internally at our implementations and data conversion processes, software quality, customer requirements and upgrade methodology and have made great strides in all of these areas. When you are ready to continue investing in your infrastructure, we are ready with improved delivery models. The Elite User Conference is right around the corner, and now is the time to begin planning for your firm’s participation in this year’s event. The conference will be held June 15-17 at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach, FL. The theme for this year’s conference is Return on Innovation and will include a comprehensive and interactive learning experience with 3E and Enterprise conference tracks running simultaneously. For the first time this year, Elite will be offering the Elite Scholar Day with hands-on application training that will enable participants to gain in-depth understanding of significant functional areas within their Elite software solution. Separate classes will be offered for 3E and Enterprise. Enterprise Scholar Day offerings will cover WebView, database structures, framework tools and utilities, while the 3E Scholar Day classes will focus on reports, metrics and security. This year’s conference will be the one event to attend in 2010, offering the opportunity to get the knowledge, solutions and insight you need to compete effectively in today’s challenging legal marketplace. You won’t want to miss this year’s event. Also in this edition of Exchange Magazine, I am pleased to report that ProLaw has achieved Microsoft Gold Certified status with competency in Data Management Solutions, including special certification for SQL Server 2008. In other exciting news, Elite has announced the release of Elite Calendar Connect for Microsoft Outlook Version 5.0 which will provide greater flexibility for firm-wide scheduling. This latest version of Calendar Connect enables more flexibility in scheduling and organizing options, including a redesigned event filter feature, elimination of orphaned events and an alternate calendar function to segregate events as necessary. I hope you enjoy the articles and items on these pages. Please feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions or questions about Exchange Magazine. We look forward to helping you achieve great success in 2010.
