The following are tips and tricks to help when using Elite software products like Enterprise, 3E and ProLaw.

Enterprise Tip

Spell check is available in any narrative text box by using a right mouse click.

Elite 3E Tip

When using the Select All button and all available items are desired, increase the top rows displayed from the default of 100 if, “data truncated to NNN rows” is displayed on the query results bar.  If the number of top rows is not increased and the Select All button is clicked again, then some of the desired items will not be selected.

ProLaw Tip

To account for non-monetary payments such as bartered goods or services, set up a separate checking account so that the operating account is not affected. This account does not have to be associated with a real bank checking account but it does need to be a checking-type account in ProLaw to allow for deposits and distribution towards statements. The value of bartered items and services should be entered as a cash receipt into the barter account. Consult with the IRS and your accounting department before proceeding for further information on properly accounting for non-monetary payments.
