UK/EMEA User Group Meeting

The UK/EMEA User Group Meeting was held on September 16, 2009 at The Law Society in London. Last year’s event was a huge success with a record number in attendance and this year’s event followed suit with over 134 clients attending from all over the world including England, Scotland, Dubai, Paris, Amsterdam, Channel Islands, Helsinki and Berlin.

The event was complimentary and included 3E and Enterprise workshops, in-depth product discussions, as well as the opportunity to network with Elite clients. To help firms leverage their existing investments, there was a specific focus on implementing advanced features, which proved to be very successful. In all there were 17 different sessions with 22 separate presenters featured, which included Elite experts, clients, and the consulting firm Baker Robbins. Current topics discussed at this year’s event included 3E implementation updates, in-depth discussions on 3E Reporting Solutions, Metrics, Reporting and Dashboards, customizations, and the benefits of virtualization. Enterprise topics included reviews of the new features in 3.5, 3.8, and 3.9 and also bank statement handler and business process reviews.

Zoe Martin, User Group Chairperson from CMS Cameron McKenna greeted the attendees prior to the four afternoon break-out sessions that included topics on Elite 3E, Financial, Systems and Technical. Elite CTO Jeff Schuett’s roundtable discussion on virtualization was particularly well attended as it presented recent survey results on how firms are implementing this strategy.

“Our International User Group grows more popular each year because we provide real-world solutions to issues our clients are experiencing. Sponsoring these events benefits Elite, because we can continually enhance our solutions based on direct feedback from these sessions,” said Kim Massana, senior vice president and general manager, Elite. “We highly value the collaborative effort that made this meeting successful.”
