Simplify and Expedite Batch and Queue Processing
Elite® Smart Queue is a “smart” control program used for the execution and monitoring of reports and other processes in batches or queues. By setting up various queues, it executes processes in the order specified, monitors their progress and sends status notification via emails. Smart Queue was designed to execute standard Elite “stored” reports, custom stored reports, scripts, cost interfaces and system backups.
Aside from sending periodic status emails, Smart Queue notifies specified staff of a failure. If a process fails, Smart Queue sends out a notification of the failure so the problem can be addressed quickly and efficiently. If a process is flagged as “critical” fails, Smart Queue will stop all dependent process from executing until the “critical” process has been fixed and rerun successfully. This is accomplished while allowing nondependent processing to continue. If a non-critical process fails, Smart Queue will send out a failure notification and continue with the next entry in the queue. In the event of a failure, Smart Queue can be restarted and will skip over all previously completed processes and pick-up where it left off.
Successful completion notifications can also be generated on a process-by-process basis to keep key staff informed. Smart Queue can execute additional queues, independent from, and simultaneous to, the calling queue.
