Elite Hosted International User Group Meeting with Record Attendance

Firms benefit from case studies and practical guidance for 3E and Enterprise

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2009 – Elite, part of Thomson Reuters, held its complimentary, bi-annual International User Group meeting at the exclusive Law Society building in the heart of London on Sept. 16.

Surpassing last year’s attendance, 134 attendees from 62 law firms gathered to learn the latest methods of optimizing their Elite financial and practice management systems. Dubai, Paris, Amsterdam, Channel Islands, Helsinki and Berlin are just some of the locations represented at the meeting providing a truly international mix of firms and giving rise to a broad discussion of regional business issues.

The case study format and focus on implementing advanced features proved to be successful as firms are looking to leverage their existing investments. Elite featured 17 different sessions with 22 separate presenters, which included clients, Elite experts and legal technology consulting firm Baker Robbins. The morning Elite Enterprise workshop offered a preview of new features and business process reviews, while the ELITE 3E workshop presented customization options and tutorials on dashboard metrics.

Zoe Martin, user group chairperson from CMS Cameron McKenna, greeted attendees prior to the four afternoon break-out sessions that included topics on 3E, financial, systems and technical. Elite Chief Technology Officer Jeff Schuett’s roundtable discussion on virtualization was particularly well attended as it presented recent survey results on how firms are implementing this strategy.
