DocsCorp Latest to Join ProLaw Alliance Program

Leader in PDF integration helps streamline ProLaw document management and e-filing for law firms

Los Angeles, Nov. 16, 2010 – ProLaw, the leading One Office™ financial and practice management system for small and mid-size law firms and corporate legal departments, today announced the integration of the pdfDocs productivity suite from DocsCorp, a leader in PDF integration and workflow technology for law firms globally.

pdfDocs Desktop allows ProLaw users to create industry-standard PDF documents with drag-and-drop ease and combine them from different applications into a single, secure PDF. Users also can edit, mark up and redact sensitive information and save the final document back into ProLaw.

pdfDocs reduces the risk of e-filing being rejected by the courts through:

  • Splitting PDFs based on size or page number to comply with court requirements.
  • Producing PDFs that are 100 percent compliant with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Producing PDF/A documents when filing with the courts that use the Case Management/Electronic Case Files system.

Additional functionality includes compareDocs, which compares any two documents irrespective of document type (Word to Word, PDF to PDF, Word to PDF), and formFiller, which allows users to fill in and save PDF forms to any location. In addition to entering data into the form, users can e-mail, print or save the form directly into ProLaw. Integration lets users compare documents in ProLaw, saving the comparison report also into ProLaw.

”DocsCorp has extensive knowledge of PDF and document comparison technology and is able to provide expert advice to firms in such topics as redaction, e-filing and document security,” said Matthew DeVoll, vice president and general manager, ProLaw. “Especially for those firms that process many e-files, DocsCorp makes it easier for them to manage their documents and streamline the filing process without having to exit ProLaw.”

“Our mission is to develop solutions that integrate with and add value to core legal applications such as ProLaw without requiring a lot of training and change management,” said Dean Sappey, president, DocsCorp. “We believe the pdfDocs Solutions Suite is the first cost-effective, unified PDF management and document comparison solution of its type for small-to-mid-size law firms that integrates with ProLaw PDF management and more.”
