Crown Law Selects ELITE 3E to Gain Business Process Efficiencies
Extensive Evaluation Convinces Queensland State Government Legal Counsel to Deploy 3E
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31, 2009 – Crown Law, the principal provider of legal services to the Queensland State Government in Australia, has selected 3E for its financial and practice management system. Elite, part of Thomson Reuters, is a worldwide provider of integrated practice and financial management systems for professional services firms.
“We conducted an exhaustive discovery process to find the right business process platform because we felt the decision was so important to the future of our firm and our clients,” said Brett Greenslade, Project Manager, Information Technology, Crown Law. “It was clear that 3E will be able to meet our business requirements, including providing significantly improved business processes through its workflow capability as well as extensive integration with our existing business systems for a much lower total investment than with other solutions due to the very flexible nature of the application. No other solution was able to beat 3E’s value proposition, and Elite’s record for providing excellent customer support was also a welcome change from our current provider.”
Crown Law operates as a self-funded business unit of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General and competes with the private sector for much of its business. The firm has grown to become one of the state's largest Queensland-based law firm with more than 140 legal staff handling 3,500 matters a year. The firm’s 16 legal teams cover all aspects of government and public sector law. Business process and innovation has always been a firm priority to improve timeliness and responsiveness of legal services.
“Like most of our clients that have completed a thorough due diligence process, Crown Law was impressed with not only 3E’s ability to enhance overall business processes, but also the underlying technology that makes this possible beyond what older legacy applications are capable of delivering,” said Kim Massana, senior vice president and general manager, Elite. “We continue to win the lion’s share of new business opportunities in AsiaPac as a result and are excited to help Crown Law achieve its goals with 3E.”
ELITE 3E offers powerful core financial and practice management features and built-in application development capabilities—all seamlessly integrated into one high-performance system. Designed from the ground up on Microsoft .NET, 3E provides an integrated development environment that enables firms to become more agile in responding to client needs. A full suite of capabilities are delivered through a consistent web-based user experience that allows staff to easily track and manage activity on a multi-office, global scale.
