Elite Boot Camp

Enterprise and 3E Boot Camp Classes

Elite Boot Camp classes are based on Elite's internal employee and client training programs and focus on helping students master the core financial management and reporting modules of their Elite solution. Students will have a dedicated PC where interaction with the software cements learned concepts. Separate Boot Camp classes are offered for Elite Enterprise and Elite 3E. Each class runs for 2.5 days on June 14, 15, 16 (half day), 2010.

Registration Policies: Elite Boot Camp classes are limited to a maximum of 25 registrants. A minimum number of participants must register for each class. Should a class’s enrollment minimum not be met by mid-April, the class will be cancelled and the fee refunded to registrants.

BOOT CAMP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

ELITE ENTERPRISE BASIC APPLICATION TRAINING

Course Overview: This introductory level Boot Camp is modeled after Elite's internal training program and includes lecture discussion as well an interactive hands-on learning approach.

Duration/Dates: 2.5 Days - June 14, 15, 16 (half day), 2010

Target Audience: Anyone who works with Elite Enterprise or needs a basic understanding of the core modules and associated functionality at the transactional level.

Description and Goals: Provides a capabilities overview lecture as well as hands on workshop instruction. Training documentation supports an interactive learning experience. Participants will gain the knowledge needed to begin productively using the core Elite Enterprise applications and will benefit from experiential learning at the transactional level for key functional roles (e.g. billing clerk). Course topics include:

  • Elite Enterprise Application Suite Process Overview
  • Billing Manager
  • Accounts Payable
  • General Ledger
  • Reports and Inquiry
  • Practice Management
  • WebView (capabilities overview)

ELITE ENTERPRISE ADVANCED BILLING APPLICATION TRAINING 

Course Overview: This intermediate level Boot Camp is modeled after Elite's internal training program and continues from the point left off in basic application training. Participants gain an in-depth understanding of the advanced billing processes available in Elite Enterprise.

Target Audience: Anyone who needs to understand and work with Elite Enterprise functionality beyond the basic billing transactional level. This includes billers, billing managers, financial analysts, cash handlers and senior level analysts.

Prerequisite*: Elite Enterprise Basic Application Training or equivalent experience working with basic Enterprise transactions (e.g.: time entry, cost entry, proforma generation).

Duration/Dates: 2.5 Days - June 14, 15, 16 (half day), 2010

Description and Goals: Provides a capabilities overview lecture as well as hands on workshop instruction. Training documentation provided supports an interactive learning experience. Participants will gain the knowledge needed to begin productively using the advanced billing processes in Elite Enterprise. Course topics include:

*This class does not provide an introduction to Elite Enterprise. Users that are new to Enterprise or need to understand basic fundamentals, should enroll in Elite Enterprise Basic Application Training.

ELITE 3E ADVANCED APPLICATION TRAINING 

Course Overview: This advanced level Boot Camp is modeled after Elite's internal training program and includes lecture discussion as well an interactive hands-on learning approach. The course will allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the administrative, setup, and core application functionality in Elite 3E.

Target Audience: Anyone who needs to understand and work with the Elite 3E application functionality beyond the basic transactional level. This includes billers, billing managers, financial analysts, cash handlers and senior level analysts that use 3E Invoice Management, 3E Accounts Payable and 3E General Ledger.

Prerequisite: Some experience working with basic Elite 3E transactions (e.g.: master files, transactions, proforma generation and edit).

Duration/Dates: 2.5 Days - June 14, 15, 16 (half day), 2010

Description and Goals: Provides a capabilities overview lecture as well as hands on workshop instruction for select advanced billing, accounts payable, and general ledger processes (listed below). Training documentation provided supports an interactive learning experience. Participants will gain the in-depth knowledge needed to begin productively using the advanced capabilities available in Elite 3E. Course topics include:

3E TECHNICAL/IDE (INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT) TRAINING

Course Overview: This technical Boot Camp will focus on tools used by the 3E administrator or technical consultant to troubleshoot issues and customize 3E to meet their firm’s needs. Learn how to build and customize a process by working with the 3E IDE (including the Archetype, Object, Form, Page, and Process Designers). Participants can practice using workshop examples or may bring their own firm needed specific basic build or customization requirements. Class instructors will provide assistance and coaching to help address these needs.

Target Audience: IT Administrators, IT Managers, IT Assistants, Technical Consultants or anyone who will be building or augmenting 3E applications.

Prerequisite: Some familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and Object-Oriented (OO) databases may be helpful.

Duration/Dates: 2.5 Days - June 14, 15, 16 (half day), 2010

Description and Goals: Provides a capabilities overview lecture as well as hands-on workshop experience with 3E IDE Process design and customization. The course will also give an introduction to the 3E Object Model (framework code) including how to integrate code for common customizations. Course topics include:

  • IDE Capabilities Overview
  • A breakdown and in-depth explanation of IDE functionality:
    • Archetype Designer
    • Object Designer
    • Form Designer
    • Page Designer
    • Process Designer
  • Hands on experience with development of a process and customization (firm needed or common customization)
