Elite Hosted Successful Asia Pacific User Group Conference in Sydney
Elite held its complimentary annual Asia Pacific User Group meeting in Sydney October 22 and 23. Nearly all Elite clients from Australia and New Zealand, and an increasing number of Asian firms, were in attendance, indicating the continued value of the event.
With 20 sessions over two days, the conference covered a broad range of topics primarily based on feedback from the Asia Pacific Elite client base, and included several encore sessions from Elite’s global User Conference held in San Diego in June. Popular group sessions included the latest business intelligence tools, increased compliance requirements within law firms, and the growing role of business development solutions in the legal environment. The agenda also featured a two-track format for Enterprise and 3E users to cover subject matter specific to each platform.
Presenters included local Elite consultants along with Elite experts from the UK and United States. During the executive briefing, Elite CTO Jeff Schuett generated significant interest from the group by presenting competitive market statistics for 2008/9 based on Hildebrandt’s innovative Peer Monitor®, a real-time benchmarking program that provides regional business metrics comparisons.
Malcom Freame, COO at Sparke Helmore, a leading national law firm that provides specialist services to national and multinational corporations, financial institutions and governments, welcomed the group as they very generously provided the venue and conference facilities for the event. Elite sponsored the much-anticipated evening reception at Georges on the promenade at King’s Street Wharf.
“As with all of our User Groups, the agenda is driven by the users, for the users and as a result, the content addresses their most pressing issues,” said Kim Massana, senior vice president and general manager, Elite. “Additionally we have been able to create a friendly and informal environment for networking with like-minded industry peers, which has become an important benefit of attending the conference. We greatly appreciate every firm that helped make this year’s User Group a success.”
